For Cindy - A Cowgirl at Heart

Okay girlfriend, I tried to get as many pictures of the place and tried to imagine what it would be like with hundreds of cowboys walking downtown. I think it would live up to your expectations and idea.

The historic part of downtown has only a couple of older hotels but lots of bars with food. There are also a lot of casinos where people play poker and Keno. (I looked inside, but did not participate so not sure if we could win our fortunes or not...)

The Bronco and horse sale occurs at the Fair ground. It has a bunch of exhibition buildings, and I don't know if the animals are kept in stalls inside the buildings or are brought out into some of the corrals. We can find that out next year.

The town itself is very proud of it's community link. One thing that showed that is all of the yellow ribbons they had on the light poles for the people in the military. That was very touching.

The town makes it's living from the ranchers. And they are not the ones who live in town. They come in on the weekends, but there is a question of whether Friday is the weekend, or part of the week. (that is from Terri who works at the chamber of commerce and visitors center) That would make me think that Saturday night is party night.

I am tempted to drive around the country for the next 8 days and return to see what it is like.....but YOU need to be here to enjoy...

So here is the commercial and some pictures to prepare you for the real deal.

I am touched beyond words that you made it to Miles City. To think that it really exists and it's not just a figment of my imagination. I think this must be a place that remains pretty quiet and serine most days. Then, like Sturgis, it comes alive once a year for one of the most important auctions in America: Bucking Broncos!!!
Must sexier than those silly Harley guys. Real men are out west. Check out the local ads for a SWF WITH EXPERIENCE. I will save every penny I can to make this trip happen next year.
    Love you girl! Cindy
