Why I kept hearing this song in my mind all day is beyond me.....and I really wasn't sure if I even knew the song and had the right lyrics, but when I 'googled it' I found it was a Sawyer Brown song titled Six Days on the Road and I'm going to Make it home tonight.
I am so busy disassembling my current home and getting ready to take off.....that these six days are going to be forever. I have lots to do so I can get on the road. But, I am a woman on a burning mission, so I am sure I will get it done in time.....packing, storage unit, packing, post office box, packing, phone interview, packing, cash available, packing, storing stuff at Alissa's, packing and getting to see the g-kids before I take off. All doable as long as I stay focused.
So my plan is to spend the next six days getting things done, so that by Saturday afternoon (after doing the volunteer work with the Baldino family for "Give it Back Day" in Chicago) I will be on the road to my first stop which will be Springfield, IL. In the meantime, I am going through all of the steps to be ready...knowing I have six more days, which is seeming like an eternity at this moment. I have lots of doors to close, loose ends to tie up, and a free spirited soul persona to get used to. That is the one that will challenge me, but excites me the most.
